The gist.

Immerse yourself in the overwhelming history of the Khmer Rouge. Learn the atrocities of an often overlooked era that has shaped current Cambodian culture. After visiting S21 (Genocide Museum) and the Killing Fields, unwind and share your experiences over a traditional Khmer Family Style Lunch.

    8:30 AM — Morning briefing, then Tuk Tuk to the Genocide Museum (S21)

    11:00 AM — Tuk Tuk to the Killing Fields

    About 45 minutes' travel, then an hour at the site.

    1:00 PM — Head back to the hostel

    Choose your lunch: chicken Amok, vegetarian or vegan Amok, pork with grilled eggplant or veggie grilled eggplant, plus mango sticky rice with mung bean and coconut sauce.
